Health Minister Kwebena Minka Akandor has begun a working tour of the Western North Region to assess the condition of health facilities in the area. The visit is part of a mandate from President John Mahama aimed at ensuring all citizens have access to quality healthcare. This initiative falls under the government’s broader Reset Agenda, which is committed to strengthening the nation’s health infrastructure and improving service delivery.
The tour’s primary goal is to address the various challenges faced by both healthcare workers and patients on the ground. By directly observing the state of facilities and listening to stakeholders, the minister hopes to identify key areas for intervention. This proactive approach is a crucial step towards creating a more resilient and effective health system for the country.
In a statement, the Health Minister emphasized the collective effort required to achieve these goals, stating, “Together, we will build a resilient health system serving the people.” The tour is expected to provide valuable insights that will inform future policies and investments aimed at enhancing the overall healthcare landscape in the Western North Region and beyond.
