The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) board chairman, Joe Ghartey, and CEO Ms. Julie Essiam, paid their respects to the Ga Mantse, His Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace. This significant meeting marked a crucial step in the GRA’s efforts to collaborate with traditional authorities and taxpayers to enhance education on revenue mobilization.
The visit was part of the GRA’s strategic initiative to engage with traditional leaders and stakeholders to promote a deeper understanding of the importance of tax compliance and revenue generation. By fostering strong relationships with traditional authorities, the GRA aims to create a broader awareness of their role in supporting national development.
During the meeting, Joe Gartey, and Ms. Julie Essiam held in-depth discussions with the Ga Mantse and his elders, exploring ways to strengthen their partnership and promote a culture of tax compliance among the Ga community. The GRA leadership emphasized the significance of revenue mobilization in supporting the government’s development agenda and improving the lives of Ghanaians.
