A government delegation, led by Deputy Defence Minister Honourable Ernest Brogya Genfi, visited some bereaved families on Thursday, November 13, 2025, to commiserate with them following the recent recruitment stampede.
The delegation had planned to visit all six bereaved families but was restricted by a heavy downpour. Consequently, they were able to visit the families of the late Yvonne Amoateng at Adentan and Matilda Midorse at Kokompe in the Kpone-Katamanso District Assembly.
In his statement to the families, the Deputy Defence Minister assured them of the government’s full support and assistance.
The delegation included the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, and the Acting Director General of the Department of Public Relations, Captain (GN) Veronica Adzo Arhin, among others.
