The Minister for Information, Fatimatu Abubakar, has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for state-owned enterprises to flourish. She made this statement at the launch of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) Kumasi office, emphasizing the significance of effective policy implementation and leadership.
Minister Abubakar attributed GPCL’s success to the Nana Addo-led administration’s broader economic policies, highlighting the company’s transformation as a testament to prudent management and innovation. She commended the management for their foresight and praised the establishment of the Kumasi office as a step towards decentralizing essential services and bringing them closer to the people.
The Minister expressed her optimism for GPCL’s future expansion, envisioning regional establishments across all 16 regions. She emphasized the government’s goal of seeing GPCL reclaim its position as a national leader in publishing and information dissemination, providing essential services to all Ghanaians.
Minister Abubakar assured the management of GPCL of the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and collaborating with the company to enhance its capacity and provide efficient services to the citizenry. This commitment demonstrates the government’s dedication to empowering state-owned enterprises and promoting national development.
