The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Ghana have held discussions to explore ways to strengthen Ghana’s investment climate. The meeting, attended by GIPC CEO Mr. Simon Madjie and top executives from PwC Ghana, centered on proposals to improve the business environment and attract more investment.

A key proposal discussed was the creation of an independent investment ombudsman to resolve investor concerns and build trust. PwC leaders also emphasized the need for a more investor-friendly tax system and proposed incentives to attract regional head offices to Ghana.
Mr. Madjie welcomed the ombudsman idea, noting that GIPC’s Aftercare Division already provides support to investors. He also mentioned that a review of the GIPC Act is currently underway to enhance investor protection and make Ghana more competitive. The discussions aim to identify solutions to promote a favorable investment climate in Ghana.
