The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the Chamber of Agribusiness Ghana (CAG) have joined forces to promote investment opportunities in Ghana’s agribusiness sector. In a recent meeting, the two organizations discussed strategies to bridge the information gap between data sources and potential investors.

A key proposal emerged from the discussion: the development of a “Ghana Agribusiness Compendium,” a comprehensive guide outlining opportunities in the sector. CAG Head Anthony Morrison highlighted the vast potential of Ghana’s horticultural industry, citing crops like cocoa, citrus, and avocado that could generate billions in revenue over the next few years.

GIPC CEO Simon Madjie emphasized the need for collective efforts to address land acquisition challenges, proposing the establishment of trustworthy land banks for investors. He assured the delegation of GIPC’s commitment to supporting businesses in navigating Ghana’s agribusiness landscape.

The partnership between GIPC and CAG is expected to attract investment, create jobs, and drive economic growth in Ghana’s agribusiness sector.
