The construction of four major bridges in Ghana’s Savanna and Northern Regions is progressing steadily, with the Buipe and Yapei bridges being key to the country’s road network. These bridges will facilitate the movement of goods and people between the Northern and Southern Regions, as well as neighboring landlocked countries.
Minister of Roads, Kwame Agbodza, inspected the project’s progress, accompanied by Alhajii Suhuyini and a team of engineers. He expressed satisfaction with the work done so far and assured the local chiefs and residents of the government’s commitment to completing the bridges.
The Minister also inspected the Binjia-Fufulso road and Damango town roads projects. This inspection is part of his 4-day road inspection tour of the Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West Regions. During the tour, he will pay a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa and inspect major road projects, including the Sawla-Wa road, Wa-Bolgatang-Tamale road, and Tamale Ring Roads.
The completion of these bridges and road projects will significantly improve Ghana’s transportation infrastructure, boosting economic growth and development in the region. With Ghana’s growing economy and increasing electricity demand, such infrastructure developments are crucial for the country’s progress.
