The Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) has bid farewell to a team of Ghanaian military personnel who were seconded to the AFL as part of the ECOWAS Advisory and Training Team (EATT). The team, which arrived in Liberia in June 2022, played a significant role in enhancing the capabilities of the AFL through mentorship, training, and strategic collaboration.
During their mission, the Ghanaian team provided technical guidance and support in areas such as promotion examinations, officer candidate evaluation, and preparation for the 2025 Young Officers Warrior Course. Their efforts helped reinforce a culture of professionalism, discipline, and accountability within the AFL.
The AFL has expressed gratitude and respect for the Ghanaian team’s contributions, noting that their presence has left a lasting legacy. A new team of EATT personnel is expected to arrive in Liberia on May 29, 2025, to continue the advisory and training mission.
