In a heartwarming display of unity and solidarity, Ghana’s political leaders have come together to offer condolences to Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, following the passing of his mother, Mrs. Deborah Wengam.
Former President John Mahama, a member of Assemblies of God Ghana, personally visited Rev. Wengam to extend heartfelt sympathies, acknowledging the profound impact of Mrs. Wengam’s life and legacy on their community.
Separately, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate of the New Patriotic Party and former Minister of Energy, led a delegation including Dokua Asiamah, Deputy Minister of Trade, and other state officials to convey the NPP’s condolences. Prempeh expressed shared sorrow and offered encouraging words to the grieving Wengam family.
These visits underscore Ghana’s values of respect, unity and support across political and religious lines during difficult times. The gesture reinforces the nation’s commitment to compassion and solidarity.
