The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reshuffled the schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers between Ghana and Sudan. Initially set for October 11 and 14, the matches will now be played on Thursday, October 10, and Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
The Ghanaian Black Stars will kick off the first leg at the historic Accra Sports Stadium on October 10. They then face Sudan once more for the return leg in Benina, Libya, on October 15. This adjustment brings a wave of relief and restores national pride after all Ghanaian stadia were previously deemed unfit for the qualifiers.
Currently third in qualifying Group F with just one point from two matches, Ghana is eager to secure victories in these crucial encounters. Winning against Sudan is vital to boost Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2025 tournament, set to take place in Morocco.
Stay tuned as the Black Stars strive for triumph and look to solidify their place in the competition!
