Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa emphasizes that Africa is not looking for handouts, but rather seeking a fair deal. “Africa does not seek pity, we demand parity,” Ablakwa stated, highlighting the continent’s desire for mutual respect and cooperation.
The summit aims to redefine Africa-Europe relations, with a focus on adding value to Africa’s natural resources, promoting national transformation, and creating opportunities for Africa’s youthful population. African leaders are united in their demand for better trade terms and conditions, seeking to end the exploitation of their resources and foster sustainable development. The continent is also seeking to enhance security and stability, by addressing conflicts and extremism, and rejecting external interference.
