President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has presented national honours to some Ghanaians who have contributed to the country’s development. Among the awardees is Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who is received the prestigious Order of the Star of Ghana – Officer Awardee.

Dr Bawumia is being recognised for his meritorious services, hard work, and sacrifices. He is not alone in receiving this honour, as several government appointees and Members of Parliament are also being recognised for their contributions.
Some notable awardees in the Order of the Volta – Officer Awardee category include Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Kweku Ofori Asiamah, and Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, among others.
The creative arts sector is also being represented, with Kwaw Ansah, Daddy Lumba, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, and Juliet Asante receiving awards for their outstanding contributions.
