President Mahama dispatched a diplomatic note to the Prime Minister of Jamaica, His Excellency Andrew Holness, in which he formally extended heartfelt condolences to the Government of Jamaica and the families who have lost loved ones. Beyond mourning the deceased, the message also included sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for all those who were injured and expressed deep sympathy to the thousands of people rendered homeless by the catastrophic natural disaster.
