BEIJING—Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, led a high-level delegation to Beijing for a significant bilateral meeting with officials from China’s Ministry of Public Security. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, marks a new phase in the security and law enforcement cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, Minister Mohammed-Mubarak underscored Ghana’s deep-rooted diplomatic relations with China, which were established shortly after Ghana gained independence. He emphasized that his visit was aimed at building upon this historical foundation to forge new partnerships in law enforcement, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as combating transnational crime, terrorism, and cybercrime.
The Chinese officials warmly received the Ghanaian delegation and expressed their commitment to deepening collaboration.
