The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has officially opened applications for its 2025/2026 Local Undergraduate Scholarship Programme, offering financial support to eligible students pursuing Diploma, HND, and Degree programmes across accredited tertiary institutions in the country.

The announcement, released this week, invites qualified Ghanaian students to submit applications exclusively through the GETFund online scholarship portal. The application window opens on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, and closes on Friday, 20 February 2026. Applicants are advised to complete the process early to avoid last‑minute challenges, as late submissions will not be considered.

The GETFund scholarship remains one of the most sought‑after funding opportunities for tertiary students, providing relief for thousands who face financial barriers in accessing higher education. The Fund’s continued support is seen as a critical intervention in strengthening Ghana’s human capital development and expanding opportunities for students across diverse fields of study.

All applications must be submitted through the official portal at: https://scholarships.getfund.gov.gh

As the deadline approaches, prospective applicants are encouraged to prepare the necessary documentation and follow all instructions carefully to ensure successful submission. The 2025/2026 cycle is expected to attract significant interest, reflecting the growing demand for financial assistance within the tertiary sector.

Sankofaonline will continue to monitor updates and provide further information as the scholarship process progresses.
