The organizers of the #FixTheCountry has expressed their disgust and shock about the torture of Caleb Kudah, a Journalist with Citi Media, by members of the Ghana security apparatus. In a statement released yesterday the members said “As we all know, Caleb’s experience is not new; many other journalists have suffered the same fate. Several people have continued to sound the alarm bells about an entrenched culture of Impunity, State-Sponsored Violence and Indifference.” The message continues “This is why in framing this conversation, we must not just consider how these examples reveal an entrenched culture of intolerance vis-à-vis press freedom and abuse of our journalists. It is also important that we do not sideline the stories of the thousands of citizens against whom, the police, national security operatives and armed forces routinely
