Energy Minister John Jinapor Rallies Stakeholders to Achieve Power Supply

Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor convened an Energy Sector Stakeholder Meeting on Monday, February 24, 2025. The meeting brought together players in the energy sector, including the Ghana Grid Company, the Public Utilities and Regulatory Authority, and the Electricity Company of Ghana.

At the meeting, Minister Jinapor tasked the Ghana Grid Company with developing a maintenance plan to optimize power plant operations. He also requested the Public Utilities and Regulatory Authority to provide estimates of Ghana’s generation supply, assess the Electricity Company of Ghana’s revenue collection, and identify shortfalls.

The meeting was attended by stakeholders, including Power Producers, the Volta River Authority, Ghana Gas Company, and Ghana Petroleum Cooperation. The gathering demonstrated the government’s commitment to fostering collaboration and driving progress in the energy sector.

By bringing together stakeholders, Minister Jinapor aims to address Ghana’s energy challenges and ensure a power supply for Ghana’s citizens.
