Ghana’s investment landscape, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has appointed Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 29, 2025. Dr. Brempong succeeds Yofi Grant, whose tenure ended on December 30, 2024.

With her extensive expertise in business development, healthcare, and strategic partnerships, Dr. Brempong is poised to drive Ghana’s investment promotion efforts forward. Her results-driven leadership and wealth of experience make her an ideal fit for the role.
Dr. Brempong’s impressive educational background includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from University College London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Despite her pharmaceutical roots, Dr. Brempong has built a distinguished career as an innovative business leader, founding and leading multiple successful enterprises in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and commodity sectors. Her contributions have significantly impacted Ghana’s economic growth.
As the new CEO of GIPC, Dr. Brempong is expected to leverage her expertise to enhance Ghana’s business environment and solidify its position as a top investment destination in Africa.
