The Department of Public Relations (DPR) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has bid farewell to its Director General, Brigadier General Eric Aggrey-Quashie, in a ceremony held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Brig Gen Aggrey-Quashie officially handed over command of the department to Captain (GN) Veronica Adzo Arhin, marking the end of his tenure and the beginning of a new chapter in leadership.
During the ceremony, Brig Gen Aggrey-Quashie reflected on his time at the department and expressed gratitude to staff for their commitment and professionalism. He also highlighted key achievements under his leadership and encouraged continued excellence under the new command.
The department also honored two retiring personnel, Ex SWOII Acquaye Eric Joseph and WOI Akpabi Kwesi Brown, who are proceeding on retirement after 30 years of service with the colours. Captain (GN) Arhin takes over as the new Director General, bringing her expertise and experience to the role.
