The Constitution Review Committee has reached its third month of public engagement, having held 12 Thematic Stakeholder Engagements, 5 Identifiable Interest Group Engagements, and 8 Eminent Person Engagements. The committee has covered various areas, including lands and natural resources, local government, public services, and rights, among others.
The committee has also engaged with notable figures, including President John Dramani Mahama, former President J.A. Kufuor, and former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo. Zonal public engagements are planned for several locations, including Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale, with an online engagement for the Ghanaian diaspora also in the works.
The committee continues to receive written submissions, with nearly 500 memos received so far. Individuals and organizations can submit their proposals for constitutional amendment via email to submissions@constitutionreviewgh.org or in person at the committee’s secretariat.
