Chicagoans Celebrate Madam Catherine Rejoice Hodanu

Bolingbrook, Saturday, January 15, 2022. Members of the Ghanaian community here came in their numbers to support the Kotogbor family as they celebrate the life of their mom, Inlaw, grandmother, and friend, Madam Catherine Rejoice Hodanu. The event took place at the first Presbyterian Church recreational room, 180 N Weber Road, Bolingbrook Illinois.
For the first time, we saw proper COVID-19 precautions in place. The attendees were spaced six feet apart in obeisance of the COVID-19 protocols. Masks and sanitizers were at vantage points. Members of the Ewe and the Southern Volta Associations showed up in their numbers to support one of their own, Donatus Kotogbor and his family. Friends and church members of the Kotogbor’s were also at hand to sympathize and celebrate the life of the late Miss Catherine Rejoice Hodanu . She was 77 years. Meanwhile, burial and funeral rites in Ghana are scheduled for January 29, 2022. There will be Mass at the Roman Catholic Church Anloga and later traditional funeral rites at Texakpota, Anloga, near the Dey Bar. All friends and sympathizers are welcome.
