The passing of a sports legend is always a moment of reflection and respect. Emmanuel Awuley Quaye Snr, known for his significant contributions to Ghanaian football, particularly as the captain of the Black Stars during their victorious 1978 AFCON campaign, will be remembered for his leadership on and off the field.
He captained Ghana’s Black Stars to win the AFCON in 1978.
He played for league premier side Accra Great Olympics.
His legacy continues through his children, U-17 hero , Awuley Quaye Jnr. and Lawrence Awuley Quaye , who have also made their marks in football.
