The Bank of Ghana has announced that President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Mrs. Matilda Asante-Asiedu as the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, effective May 2, 2025. The appointment was made in accordance with the Bank of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612) as amended.
Mrs. Asante-Asiedu is a seasoned corporate leader with extensive experience in the banking sector. She previously served as Group Head of Retail Banking at Access Bank Ghana PLC. She holds various academic qualifications, including an MBA from GIMPA Business School and an MA in Journalism Studies from Cardiff University.
Mrs. Asante-Asiedu has also completed executive programs at prestigious institutions such as Oxford University’s Said Business School and the Wharton School. She is a Chartered Executive Banker and a Chartered Banker.
