Assemblies of God, Ghana, Pays Courtesy Call on Veep Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang

A delegation from Assemblies of God, Ghana, led by General Superintendent Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s first female Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, in Accra.

The visit aimed to congratulate Vice President Opoku-Agyemang on her historic election victory, offer prayers, and share insights about the church’s activities and future plans. Rev. Wengam applauded the Vice President for breaking barriers and inspiring women and girls across the nation, saying, “You have made women and girls proud, and you continue to inspire them.”

During the visit, Rev. Wengam shared the church’s impressive achievements, including its 94-year history, over 800,000 members, and 4,200 pastors in Ghana. He highlighted the church’s significant impact on education, operating over 250 schools nationwide, and its compassionate ministry, focusing on social intervention projects.

Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed her gratitude for the visit and prayers, encouraging young women and girls to aim higher and trust in God’s guidance. She requested continued prayers for herself, the President, and the nation, emphasizing the need for unity, restoration, and care for one another.

The visit concluded with special prayers and the presentation of souvenirs to the Vice President, symbolizing the shared vision of Assemblies of God, Ghana, and the nation’s leadership to promote compassion, unity, and progress.
