Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, on Friday officially inaugurated the Telecel 68th Asantehene Open Golf Championship by teeing off at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi. The ceremonial start on June 13, 2025, marked the beginning of one of the most anticipated events on the Ghanaian golf calendar.
The prestigious event drew a distinguished gathering, including prominent traditional leaders who witnessed the Asantehene’s opening shot. Also present were notable figures such as Ghanaian business magnate Sir Sam Jonah, Royal Golf Club Chairman Kwesi Atta Antwi, and Patricia Obo-Nai, the CEO of Telecel Ghana, the championship’s sponsor.
