The King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, began a three-day state visit to Barbados by paying a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Barbados, The Hon. Mia Mottley, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
The high-profile meeting featured an exploration of possible avenues for strengthening ties between Ghana and Barbados, specifically focusing on connections between the Asante Kingdom and the wider Caribbean region.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was accompanied by prominent Asante chiefs, including Nana Otuo Sereboe II, Juabenhene. The meeting between the royal leader and the government leader also included a traditional exchange of gifts.
