Accra, Ghana – The Ada Traditional Council paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, Member of Parliament, to formally invite him to chair the upcoming Asafotufiam Festival. The annual festival, celebrated in the first week of August, honors the valor and resilience of Ada’s historical warriors.
During their visit, the traditional council extended their congratulations to the Minister on his recent appointment, assuring him of their full support. They praised him as a role model and a source of pride for the youth of Ada, expressing confidence in his capacity to advance the communication and digital technology sectors.
The council also took the opportunity to brief Minister George on the profound cultural and historical significance of the Asafotufiam Festival to the people of Ada. As the designated chairman, he is anticipated to play a crucial role in promoting the festival and showcasing Ada’s vibrant cultural heritage to a broader audience.
