The Ghana Police Service has partnered with the Association of Private Security Organizations of Ghana (APSOG) to standardize and strengthen the private security sector. The partnership aims to develop a unified code of conduct to regulate private security operations in Ghana.
The collaboration focuses on standardizing practices across the industry, including recruitment procedures, training, and operations. A common platform will also be created for private security personnel to report criminal activities and share intelligence with the Police.
The Director-General of Private Security Organisations, COP Dr. Daniel Afriyie, acknowledged the vital role private security organisations play in complementing the efforts of the Ghana Police Service. The partnership aims to deepen collaboration and advance national security efforts through enhanced cooperation between public and private security actors.
