Students of the Advanced Command and Staff Course from the Defence Academy, United Kingdom, have paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace. The students, led by Captain (RN) Charlotte Yemm, were on a study tour of the Central Command Area of Responsibility.
During the interactive session, Otumfuo commended the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for maintaining peace and security in the country. He also called for increased support for GAF in training and logistics. Prior to meeting the Otumfuo, the students received a briefing on operational, administrative, and logistic matters of the Command from senior military officers.
The students also received a briefing on the activities of AngloGold Ashanti from Mr. Ebenezer Asare Oppong. The visit is part of the students’ study tour and an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and learn about Ghana’s security and economic landscape.
