
A high-level meeting has been held between a government delegation led by a representative of President John Dramani Mahama and Makhtar Diop, Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The meeting discussed potential areas of collaboration and investment opportunities in Ghana.

The IFC boss expressed interest in focusing the organization’s support on specific sectors, including agriculture, and highlighted the untapped potential of Ghana’s diaspora. The government delegation extended President Mahama’s greetings and appreciation for IFC’s ongoing work in Ghana, emphasizing the country’s commitment to attracting private sector investment.
Deeper collaboration was called for in key areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, and financial sector reforms. The meeting underscored the potential for increased investment and partnership between Ghana and the IFC, with both parties exploring ways to drive economic growth and development in the country.
