The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have agreed to collaborate on initiatives to enhance the investment climate in the country. The CEO of GIPC, Mr. Simon Madjie, paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner General of GRA, Mr. Anthony Sarpong, to discuss ways to strengthen investor support.
The discussions focused on providing investor education on Ghana’s tax laws and other key areas to boost compliance and transparency. Mr. Madjie emphasized the importance of sustained tax education, while Mr. Sarpong reaffirmed GRA’s commitment to clear tax communication and highlighted plans to issue practice notes to guide investors.
Both leaders also discussed joint efforts in tracking foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows and streamlining technology transfer registrations to attract high-tech investments and ensure fair value for the state. A joint team will be set up to drive these initiatives forward, aimed at creating a more favorable investment environment in Ghana.
