Renowned media personality, Kelvin Taylor , has extended a heartfelt message to Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif, urging him to remain focused on his craft and not be distracted by external criticism.
Kelvin Taylor said this on his popular YouTube show, With All Due Respect (WAD), today, April 24,2025.
In a direct and passionate statement, Taylor emphasized that while some comments in Black Sherif’s music may affect the overall vibe of an album, the young musician’s natural talent remains unquestionable. “Your talent is pure and natural. Not many musicians in Ghana equal to you,” Taylor stated.
Taylor’s advice comes amid growing discussions around Black Sherif’s artistry and the public’s perception of his music. He cautioned the singer against engaging in battles that are not his to fight, reinforcing the importance of looking ahead and staying on course. “Don’t fight people’s fight for them. Your focus should be up there. Concentrate on what is ahead of you,” he urged.
As someone who rarely listens to full albums, Taylor admitted to making an exception for Black Sherif, commending his unique artistry. He encouraged the young musician to keep his feet on the ground and continue working hard despite differing opinions. “I naturally like you as a young man. Get your feet on the ground and work hard. Not everyone will agree with me,” he concluded.
Black Sherif, known for his deep lyrics and poignant storytelling, has been one of Ghana’s most talked-about musicians in recent years. As he continues to navigate the industry, advice from seasoned voices like Taylor may serve as valuable guidance for his ongoing journey.
