The Acting Chief Justice, Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has directed that all newly filed cases and applications in the superior courts be submitted to his office for assignment and scheduling. The directive, dated April 23, 2025, applies to Registrars of the High Courts, Courts of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.

According to the directive, all fresh filings must be brought to the attention of the Acting Chief Justice to facilitate court assignments or the empaneling of judges. The directive also centralizes the scheduling process, with the Acting CJ overseeing the fixing of dates for hearings.

The new approach overrides all previous guidelines and remains in force until further notice. Court registrars have been instructed to adhere strictly to the directive.
