Cuba’s Foreign Affairs Minister, H.E. Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, led a delegation to Ghana’s Parliament. The visit marked an important step towards strengthening parliamentary and bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin welcomed the Cuban delegation, commending Cuba’s outstanding commitment to providing quality healthcare globally. He praised Cuba’s simplicity, humility, and impressive maintenance culture, assuring his support for the growth of solidarity between the two countries.

This development is part of Ghana’s broader efforts to enhance its international relations, particularly with nations that share similar values and ideals. Ghana has historically maintained positive neutrality and promoted multilateralism, as evident in its founding membership in the Non-Aligned Movement in 1961.

The Speaker expressed confidence that subsequent engagements with the Cuban Ambassador to Ghana would further enhance the relationship. As Ghana continues to strengthen its ties with global partners, this parliamentary cooperation with Cuba marks a promising step towards increased collaboration and mutual growth.
