Ghana’s startup and innovation ecosystem actors have presented a comprehensive workplan and roadmap to the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George (MP). This significant milestone marks a crucial step towards finalizing the Ghana Innovation and Startup Bill.
The submitted documents outline strategic steps for creating an enabling legal and regulatory environment that fosters the growth of startups and innovation-driven enterprises. This development follows an earlier meeting where stakeholders emphasized the importance of a structured framework to support Ghana’s innovation and entrepreneurial landscape.
The Ghana Innovation and Startup Bill aims to enhance opportunities for startups, strengthen innovation ecosystems, and promote digital entrepreneurship in Ghana. By providing a clear definition and labeling of startups, the bill seeks to clarify their identity for policymakers, development partners, and stakeholders, ensuring tailored support and eliminating ambiguity.
