In a heartfelt statement, former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, expressed his deepest gratitude to Ghanaians for their unwavering support throughout his tenure. Dr. Dampare’s journey in the Ghana Police Service spanned an impressive 35 years, during which he rose from a humble General Constable to the pinnacle of his career as Inspector-General of Police. His tenure was marked by significant milestones, including his appointment as the youngest IGP in the Fourth Republic by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The former IGP also acknowledged the cordial working relationship he shared with current President John Dramani Mahama, despite their brief time together.
