Historian to Unveil Insights on European Capitalism and Slavery in Tunisia at NIU Lecture

DeKalb, IL – Colleagues, friends, and students around DeKalb, mark your calendars for a profound and enlightening event! Renowned historian Ishmael Montana is thrilled and honored to be invited to deliver this year’s Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Delta Annual Lecture. The highly anticipated lecture will take place on Monday, March 17, at 4:00 PM.

Utilizing population census data, the research investigates its impact on enslaved demographics and labor systems in mid-19th century Tunisia.
