March 9, 2025 Chicago Illinois: Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, former presidential candidate and CEO of the defunct GN Bank in Ghana, has expressed hope and satisfaction with the positive steps being taken by the current government to reopen his bank. He highlighted the goodwill and positive developments in Ghana that are paving the way for the bank’s revival.

He announced this during today’s divine worship service at the Ghanaian Community Church, located at 5500 S Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Nduom shared that production of rice and other food and related products from Groupe Nduom entities have already commenced. He optimistically announced that, God willing, by July 1st this year, the bank’s doors will be open to the public at all 300 branches. This reopening is expected to create employment opportunities for 3,000 Ghanaians within a year.

Reflecting on the past, Dr. Nduom lamented the previous government’s failure to maintain the bank’s logistics. He noted that each of the 300 branches originally had a car, but upon recent inspection, only four cars remain in good condition.

Despite these challenges in Ghana, he assured that the GN Bank in Chicago remains strong and is performing well.

He took the opportunity to thank the current administration, led by HE John Mahama, and promised to meet the expectations of all stakeholders in due time. He urged Ghanaians to support the leadership in resetting the country’s economy for the benefit of all.

In conclusion, Dr. Nduom expressed his gratitude to the government for their efforts and called on Ghanaians to have faith in his bank and other businesses. He emphasized that with collective support and determination, GN Bank will once again become a pillar of financial stability and growth in Ghana.
