Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, a proud alumna of Wesley Girls’ High School, has paid a heartfelt tribute to her former headmistress, Dr. Mrs. Rosina Acheampong. The renowned politician and medical doctor remembered Archie, as she was affectionately known, as a beautiful, regal, and fearless woman who embodied the values of the school’s motto: “Live Pure, Speak True, Right Wrong, Follow the King.”
During her three-year stay at Wesley Girls’ in Cape Coast, Dr. Rawlings had the privilege of getting to know Archie, who was not only a headmistress but also a mentor and a source of inspiration. Archie’s unwavering dedication to her students and her unshakeable conviction in her values left an indelible mark on Dr. Rawlings and countless others who passed through the school’s doors.
As Dr. Rawlings navigated her political journey, Archie remained a constant source of encouragement and support. Her thoughtful and kind nature made her a beloved figure, and her impact extended far beyond the walls of Wesley Girls’.
Today, as Dr. Rawlings and the Wesley Girls’ Alumni bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, they take comfort in the words of Maya Angelou: “A great soul serves everyone all the time, a great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.” Archie may be gone, but her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest well, Archie, and thank you for everything.
