President John Dramani Mahama held the first meeting of his new cabinet at Jubilee House on February 19, 2025. The meeting aimed to introduce cabinet ministers and set the tone for the administration’s governance approach.
During the meeting, the Minister for Interior, Minister for Defence, and National Security Coordinator briefed the cabinet on the state of security in the country. The Finance Minister also provided an analysis of Ghana’s economic situation.
The meeting marked the beginning of the administration’s work, with several key events lined up in the coming weeks, including the President’s State of the Nation Address, the National Economic Dialogue, and the presentation of the government’s first budget.
