Felicia S. Bailey-Walker has been honored with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her remarkable 30 years of service at Cook County Health. This award is a testament to her unwavering commitment, hard work, and the profound impact she has had on her colleagues and the community.

Felicia embarked on her journey at Provident Hospital of Cook County at the tender age of 24. In a heartfelt post on her Facebook page, she shared how Gloria Peterson, a beautiful soul, played a crucial role in helping her secure the county job. “I am forever grateful and appreciative to her for her selfless act of kindness towards me,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her years of service, Felicia expressed, “I’ve had some good days and I’ve had some bad days throughout these years. I’ve overcome many obstacles but I’ve learned so much, grown a lot, and built strong bonds with many of my coworkers, so much so that we became a family. My good days definitely have outweighed my bad days, and for that, I give God all the Glory! Although this says 30 years of service, I am actually celebrating 31 years of service at Cook County Health! To God be the Glory for the things He has done and is still doing in my life!”
Felicia’s journey is an inspiring example of dedication, resilience, and faith. Her story reminds us all that with unwavering commitment and a heart full of gratitude, we can overcome challenges and create lasting bonds with those around us. Felicia’s legacy is one to be admired and emulated by all who strive to make a difference in their communities.
