New Finance Minister Outlines Vision for Ghana’s Economic Growth

Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, held his inaugural meeting with the Management of the Ministry of Finance, where he shared his vision to improve the lives of Ghanaians. Accompanied by Fifi Kwetey, a former Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Forson emphasized the importance of prudent fiscal management, job creation, strict adherence to the Public Financial Management (PFM) regulations, and reducing inflation.

Dr. Forson expressed his excitement about returning to the Ministry and reaffirmed his commitment to bettering the lives of Ghanaians. His priorities include job creation, sound fiscal management, exchange rate stability, and tackling inflation. “We are here to work together to better the lot of the people of Ghana; indeed, we will constantly be mindful of the needs of Ghanaians,” he said.

The Minister also visited the Head Offices of the Ghana Revenue Authority and the Controller and Accountant General Department, where he interacted with the leadership and assured them of the government’s commitment to working together to achieve growth and prosperity for the country. With his vision and priorities outlined, Dr. Forson is poised to lead Ghana’s economic growth and development.
