These containers, purchased by the previous administration, hold critical materials for energy projects, but have been accumulating demurrage charges of a staggering GHS 1.5 billion.
The Minister expressed his disappointment and frustration, calling the situation “unacceptable.” He emphasized the need for swift action to clear the containers and prevent further financial losses. Jinapor assured the public that resolving this issue would support key energy projects and improve services for Ghanaians.
