After a brief introduction, Dr. Abbey got straight to work, meeting with the senior management team to discuss the industry’s current state and the challenges facing the board. He listened intently, taking notes and asking pointed questions to gain a deeper understanding.
Next, Dr. Abbey met with the staff, sharing his vision for the Ghana Cocoa Board and his commitment to promoting the interests of cocoa farmers and the industry. He emphasized teamwork and collaboration, encouraging staff to share ideas and suggestions.
A facility tour gave Dr. Abbey a firsthand look at operations. He assured staff of his commitment to addressing industry challenges.
As the day closed, Dr. Abbey reflected on progress and upcoming tasks. Optimistic about the future, he knew that with hard work, dedication, and teamwork, the Ghana Cocoa Board and cocoa industry could overcome challenges and achieve greatness.
