The Appointment Committee of Parliament had a busy day on Tuesday, January 21, but unfortunately, they didn’t get to vet everyone on their list. Ministers-designate Agnes Naa Momo Lartey and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare will now face the committee on Wednesday, January 22, instead.

The committee had a lot on their plate, with extended deliberations on other nominees and additional parliamentary engagements. Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister-designate for Local Government, did get vetted on Tuesday, though.

The Appointments Committee is working hard to review President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominees and finalize appointments for the new administration. In fact, Parliament has already approved six ministerial nominees, including Haruna Iddrisu as Minister for Education and Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance.
