The Upper East Region has thrown its weight behind Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East, following his nomination as Minister-Designate for Attorney-General and Minister for Justice. The Upper East Regional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has assured Dr. Ayine of their region’s readiness to support him in his new role.
In a statement, the Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Jonathan Salifu, described Dr. Ayine’s appointment as a “testament to his unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and outstanding contributions to the nation.” The NDC also extended their congratulations to Dr. Ayine, saying his nomination was well-deserved.
Dr. Ayine’s nomination, along with two others, was submitted to Parliament by President John Mahama, fulfilling a key constitutional requirement after his inauguration on January 7, 2025. The three nominees will oversee critical portfolios in finance, energy, and justice.
The Upper East Region’s support for Dr. Ayine is rooted in their confidence in his expertise, vision, and commitment to justice. They believe he will bring transformative progress to the justice sector and strengthen the justice system, making it more accessible to all.
