This year’s annual Dinner Dance of the Southern Volta Association in Chicago (SVA) was a night to remember. The ceremonial change of leadership stood out as the evening’s crowning highlight. In a poignant moment, the former president, Mr. Paul Sogbe, gracefully handed over the reins to Mr. Donatus Kotogbor, ushering in a new chapter for the organization. In his heartfelt farewell speech, Mr. Sogbe expressed deep gratitude to the members for the honor of serving them and encouraged them to extend the same unwavering support to the new administration.

Guests indulged in delectable authentic Ghanaian dishes that tantalized the taste buds of all present. DJ Teddy was in his element, spinning an eclectic mix of popular Ewe music, old school hits, and other crowd-pleasers that kept the dance floor vibrant and animated throughout the night.

Mama Sedudzi, the master of ceremonies, guided the event with finesse and charm. Her witty remarks and playful jests added a special touch, making the evening truly unforgettable.

This annual gathering of the SVA not only celebrates leadership and achievements but also strengthens the bonds among its members, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
