The Ho Teaching Hospital has set its sights on a transformative 2025, with a bold vision to deepen patient-centred care, invest in staff development, and expand infrastructure. According to Chief Executive Officer Dr. John Tampuori, the hospital’s focus on compassion, empathy, and kindness has yielded impressive results, including increasing patient satisfaction rates.
Dr. Tampuori expressed gratitude to staff for their dedication and highlighted the hospital’s achievements in 2024, including the introduction of new specialties such as Oncology, Endoscopy, and Neurology. He also commended the hospital’s education and infrastructure growth, emphasizing its role as a centre of excellence for medical education and clinical practice.
The hospital has commissioned five new facilities, including the Family Health Centre, a CT Scan unit, and a Pharmacy Complex. These advancements aim to improve workflow efficiency and patient care. Looking ahead, Dr. Tampuori revealed plans to invest in continuous professional development for staff, expand critical units such as the Accident & Emergency and Dialysis departments, and enhance internal systems to improve operational efficiency.
Dr. Tampuori assured staff that management is committed to improving working conditions, securing resources, and advocating for government support and donor partnerships.
He encouraged staff to embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, emphasizing that every role plays a vital part in shaping the hospital’s future.
