The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has categorically rejected the re-collated parliamentary election results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) for several constituencies. The NDC claims these results were announced under questionable and illegal circumstances, constituting a blatant assault on Ghana’s democratic principles and a betrayal of the people’s will.

According to the NDC, the Electoral Commission, led by Jean Mensah, has consistently chosen a path of illegality and impunity, deliberately undermining the integrity of Ghana’s electoral process. This, the NDC asserts, has compromised the EC’s mandate and deepened public mistrust in the institution.

The NDC has strongly condemned these undemocratic practices, reminding all involved that electoral crimes have no expiry date and that those responsible will eventually face reckoning. The party has also accused Jean Mensa and her team of attempting to plunge the country into chaos to satisfy the interests of their political benefactors.

However, the NDC, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, has vowed to uphold and safeguard Ghana’s democracy. The party has commended its supporters for maintaining peace and avoiding confrontation with security forces.

The NDC has also expressed concerns about the apparent collusion between the Electoral Commission, the police, and the military leadership, which it believes has facilitated the unlawful manipulation of election results and tarnished the credibility of these institutions.
