In a prestigious ceremony, Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, was conferred with the African Public Sector Conference and Awards Humanitarian Lifetime Achievement Award. This esteemed recognition acknowledges his immense contributions to legislative and leadership roles over the years.

As the longest-serving legislator in Parliament and MP for Nadowli-Kaleo, Bagbin’s journey has been marked by dedication and strategic leadership. His commitment to democratic principles has been exemplary, earning him respect and admiration from his peers.

Initially scheduled to receive the award in Botswana, Bagbin’s urgent parliamentary business prevented him from attending. However, the organizers decided to present the award to him at his office in Parliament.

Madam Carol Opata, InstinctWave Executive Director for West Africa, emphasized that the African Public Sector Conference and Awards (APSCA) serves as a platform for leaders to exchange ideas, foster innovation in governance, and inspire excellence.

This humanitarian award is a testament to Bagbin’s tireless efforts in public service, and his leadership continues to inspire others to strive for excellence.
